“Been using it all along, ants really don't get up, the material is strong and durable, it really works. Lasts quite a while, maybe I'll replace one about once a year. This shop's price isn't expensive, fast shipping”

“This is my third order. Arrived with no folds, no creases. Ants really don't get up, works really well. The last one I used for about a year until it wore out on its own. I'd call it good value”

“This anti-ant pad looks thicker than the ones I bought before. I use it under my cat's food bowl and it keeps ants away to a certain extent. Price is just right, not too expensive”

Introduction
KAI67 anti-ant pad under 2 pet food and water bowls, stopping ants from climbing past the edge

An anti-ant pad is a hard plastic sheet you put under pet food bowls, sugar jars, rice cookers or bins so ants can't walk up to whatever is sitting on it.

KAI67 sells anti-ant pads in 2 sizes: 30x42 cm for ฿148 and 24x32 cm for ฿140. You just place your items in the middle of the pad. No water to refill and no spraying near food. Order via LINE @814ddrza or fill in the order form on this website. This page answers the questions buyers ask most before deciding: how it works, which size to choose, the price, and the limitations you should know before you order.

Topic 2/9
How the KAI67 anti-ant pad works: ants stop at the edge and don't cross to the food bowl
Ants stop at the edge of the pad, so whatever is in the middle stays ant-free

How does an anti-ant pad work, and why won't ants cross it?

An anti-ant pad works as a "barrier". The top surface is coated with a substance that makes ants refuse to keep walking once they touch it. Ants that reach the edge stop, turn back or walk along the edge instead of crossing to the food. That keeps whatever sits in the middle ant-free, without a moat of water like a water tray and without spraying anything on the food or bowl.

A common misunderstanding is that the pad "kills" ants on the spot like a spray. In fact, the pad protects; it doesn't wipe out the nest. For the first 1–3 days you may still see ants circling around the edge, because they still remember their old route. Once they find several times that the route doesn't get them to the food, they give it up. Read more about how it works and its limits in What is an anti-ant pad and how does it work

Topic 3/9
What you can use the KAI67 anti-ant pad with: cat and dog bowls, water bottles, condiments, rice cookers, small appliances
In the kitchen: sugar jars, condiments, rice cookers

What can you use a KAI67 anti-ant pad with?

Anything that sits on a flat surface and attracts ants. Customers use it most under cat and dog bowls, because dry and wet food pull ants in strongly. After that come sugar jars, honey jars, kitchen condiments, rice cookers, hot water flasks, kitchen bins, and hamster or bird cages where food bits keep falling out.

The limitation to know before you buy: the pad only protects things that sit "on" it. If ants reach your food cabinet from the wall, or your table from the table legs, a 30x42 cm pad won't cover that. In those cases use anti-ant table-leg cups or deal with the ants' trail instead. Also, items must be at least 5 cm from the edge of the pad. If they're right at the edge, ants can walk along the edge and climb onto the item without stepping on the pad surface.

Size comparison of the KAI67 anti-ant pad, 30x42 cm vs 24x32 cm, with real-use examples
30x42 for 2 bowls · 24x32 for a single bowl

Should you choose 30x42 or 24x32 cm?

Choose 30x42 cm (A3 size) if you put a water bowl and a food bowl side by side, or several items in the kitchen, because you still get the full 5 cm margin on every side. Choose 24x32 cm for a single cat bowl, a tight space such as a condo balcony corner, or under a single sugar jar. It's cheaper and easier to store.

An easy check before ordering: measure the base of everything you'll put on the pad, then add 10 cm to both width and length (5 cm margin on each side). If the result is no more than 20x32 cm, the small pad works; if it's bigger, use the large pad. A typical cat bowl is 12–16 cm across, so 2 bowls side by side are about 30 cm wide, which fits the 30x42 pad nicely but is too tight for the small one.

First-time steps for the KAI67 anti-ant pad: rinse with plain water, let it dry, place it where you need it, and it's ready to use
Rinse with plain water, let it dry, then place it

What do you need to do before using an anti-ant pad for the first time?

Before first use, rinse the pad with plain water, let it dry completely, and put it where ants show up most. Then place the bowl or item in the middle, at least 5 cm from every edge. Don't wipe the pad with alcohol, dishwashing liquid or disinfectant, as these can wear out the coating faster. That's all; then give it 1–7 days to see results.

While using it, wipe food crumbs and sticky sweet spills off the pad every day with a damp cloth, then dry it right away. Food bits on the pad are the number one reason ants still "seem" to get up: they come to eat the bits at the edge of the pad, not walk across to the bowl. Step-by-step instructions with pictures are in the article How to use and care for an anti-ant pad

KAI67 anti-ant pad safe with cats, dogs and children: food bowl placed in the middle so food doesn't touch the pad surface
Bowl in the middle of the pad, so food doesn't touch the pad surface

Are anti-ant pads safe for cats, dogs and children?

Most anti-ant pads on the market say they can be used under pet food bowls, and recommend placing the bowl in the middle of the pad so the food doesn't touch the pad surface directly. KAI67 will list the name of the surface coating and the registration number for each batch on the product page once we receive the documents from the manufacturer. Until then, we don't write "100% chemical-free", because we don't have documents to confirm it.

Precautions that apply to every brand: don't let your cat or dog lick the pad regularly, don't cut the pad into pieces small enough for pets to carry around, and keep it out of reach of small children who put things in their mouths. For more detail on this, including what to do if your cat licks the pad, see Are anti-ant pads dangerous?

Comparison and use of the KAI67 anti-ant pad together with a water tray for better ant protection
A water tray needs refilling every day; an anti-ant pad you just put down

How is an anti-ant pad different from a water tray, ant chalk and spray?

A water tray under the bowl keeps ants off as long as there is water in it, but you have to refill it every day, standing water breeds mosquitoes, and some cats like to dip their paws in and spill it. Ant chalk works fast, but you have to redraw it when the line fades, and it shouldn't be used near pet food. Ant spray kills the ants you can see right away, but it smells, needs to be sprayed again, and must not be sprayed near food bowls. An anti-ant pad is the "put it down and you're done" option: nothing to refill, draw or spray, in exchange for a higher upfront price and a 1–7 day wait for results.

If ants get into your cat's bowl every morning and you're tired of refilling water, an anti-ant pad is better value in the long run. But if ants only show up a few times a year, a water tray or chalk may be enough. We've put together a table comparing the pros and cons of each method in the article Which anti-ant pad brand is best, and how to choose

Topic 9/9
KAI67 anti-ant pad resists sun and heat, can sit in sunlight for a long time without wearing out quickly
Keep it out of direct sun and heat and the pad will last a long time

How long does an anti-ant pad last, and how do you make it last longer?

Makers of hard plastic anti-ant pads on the market state a lifespan of about 1–2 years, depending on care. KAI67 will state the figure for our own product once we receive the documents from the manufacturer. Three things wear a pad out faster: direct sunlight, heat from a stove or a very hot pot left on it for a long time, and leaving the pad wet for long periods. Avoid these 3 things and the pad will last as long as the manufacturer states.

A sign that the pad is wearing out: ants start walking across it even though it's clean and the items are correctly placed in the middle. If this happens after a long time of use, replace the pad. If it happens in the first week, first check for food bits on the pad, items right at the edge, or another way for ants to climb up, such as a tablecloth hanging down to the floor.

Frequently asked questions about anti-ant pads

Where can I buy anti-ant pads? Are they sold near me?

KAI67 anti-ant pads are sold online only. Order through LINE @814ddrza or the order form on this website, and we ship nationwide by private courier. We don't have a physical shop yet, and the pads aren't sold in pet shops yet.

Do anti-ant pads work on all kinds of ants?

The pad is designed for ants that walk up from the floor, such as black ants, fire ants and tiny sugar ants that go after sweet things. It won't help with flying insects like flies. Some manufacturers claim it also keeps out cockroaches, which are big and move fast, but KAI67 won't confirm that until we have tested it ourselves.

Can I cut an anti-ant pad smaller?

Yes, with scissors or a cutter. The coated surface still works the same because the whole sheet is coated. After cutting, keep a new 5 cm margin from the edge based on the size of the cut piece, and don't cut pieces so small that a pet could carry them off and play with them.

Why are ants still getting into the cat bowl after I put the pad down?

The 3 most common reasons: food crumbs have fallen on the pad, the bowl is too close to the edge, or the ants have met the pad less than 3 days ago and are still circling to find a way in. Wipe the pad, move the bowl to the middle, then wait another 3–4 days. If it doesn't improve, message the admin on LINE with a photo of how it's set up.

What brand are KAI67 anti-ant pads? Are they genuine?

KAI67 is our own brand, not a reseller of another brand. The pads are made by an anti-ant pad factory in Thailand. We will list the manufacturer details, the surface coating and the registration number on the product page once we have received all the documents.
