Why do ants go for cat food bowls, and how does the pad help?
Both dry and wet cat food are high in fat and protein, smell strong and are often left out all day, so ants find them quickly and set up a regular trail. The anti-ant pad cuts that trail at the last point before the bowl: ants reaching the edge of the pad stop and turn back, so the food stays untouched without using sprays near your pet's food. What should you watch out for when using it with cats?
Keep the bowl in the centre so spilled food doesn't touch the pad surface, wipe off crumbs every day, and don't let your cat lick the pad regularly. If your cat likes to flick food out of the bowl, use a high-sided bowl or switch to a larger pad so the bits still land well away from the edge. What size cat bowl fits on a 24x32 pad?
A bowl up to 14 cm across, or a joined double bowl up to 22 cm long, still leaves a 5 cm edge gap. For anything bigger, choose the 30x42 pad.
Can I use it with a dog food bowl?
Yes, if the bowl is within the size above. Large dog breeds often use bowls over 18 cm, which should go on the 30x42 pad.
Does the ฿140 price include shipping?
No. Shipping is charged at actual cost depending on the courier and area. The admin will tell you the total on LINE before you pay.
What should I do if my cat licks the pad?
Wipe the pad with a damp cloth and move the bowl closer to the centre of the pad. If your cat shows anything unusual after licking it, see a vet straight away and let us know on LINE. We will post details of the surface coating on this page once we get the documents from the manufacturer.
